Herpes simplex causes - What is Herpes Simplex?

Herpes Simplex is a viral infection caused by the Herpes Simplex virus, though, because of its widespread variety, Herpes Simplex is often sub grouped into categories based on its location on the infected individual's body. When Herpes Simplex is on the face, it is commonly referred to as "cold sores". Oral Herpes Simplex is the most common type of Herpes Simplex because when the skin inside the mouth is broken, the bacteria on the teeth combine with the Herpes Simplex virus to create oral Herpes Simplex, these are often misconstrued with oral ulcers, or canker sores. Genital Herpes Simplex is also common, though can only be transmitted by a non infected individual engaging in intercourse with an infected individual.

What are the causes of Herpes Simplex?

When the skin of an area on the body is broken, bacteria may leak into the wound. If the Herpes Simplex virus is present, then the bacterium binds with Herpes Simplex to form a type of Herpes. Though all of the types of Herpes Simplex have roughly the same symptoms, they all feel different scales of pain based on the sensitivity of the area they affect. The Herpes Simplex virus can be introduced into a body by skin coming in contact with an infected individual's Herpes Simplex affected area. However, the virus can occur by the Herpes Simplex virus being transferred on top of the skin of an individual.

This causes the virus to be passed without having to be in contacted with an infected area of Herpes Simplex, only the virus being transferred on top of the skin. If the Herpes Simplex virus comes in contact with skin that has no open wound, it may simply rest on top of the skin until the virus dies, or it comes in contact with an open wound where it can bind with bacteria.
